Celluloid first use was to make dental impressions. Celluloid became well known plastic because it could be sawn, cut, laminated, folded, punched, stretched, twisted into jewelry pieces. Celluloid was material was invented and introduced to primarily replace Ivory. Hence Celluloid can be called "immitation" Ivory. We have really beautiful Celluloid buckles to choose from.
